Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Researches potential funding sources including, public, private, state, federal, and corporate organizations; and identifies grant eligibility criteria
- Discusses grant possibilities with the Executive Director Grants Development and Compliance and the appropriate department deans
- Matches potential grants to the appropriate departments and programs within the District
- Assists with communication of funding opportunities, strategies, determination of eligibility, and requirements to campus personnel
- Assists with the development and editing of written materials, and supports the development and submission process
- Writes grants, proposals, and other fundraising communications; and works with the departmental and interdisciplinary project grant coordinators to develop the basic outline for proposals
- Assists with project budgets in cooperation with the department heads, assigned personnel, and the business office; and assists with monitoring funded activities
- Assists with the maintenance of the grant tracking system; and maintains document control and retention for project applications, awards, reports, and supporting documents
- Assists with submission of required reports, including interim and final reports; and prepares an annual summary of grant activities
- Monitors Tarrant County College’s (TCC) compliance with proposal objectives, funding agencies reporting, and accountability standards
- Assists in monitoring the College’s fiscal and in-kind matching commitments for proposals
- Develops educational opportunities for TCC staff regarding grants and proposal writing
- Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College

- Performs Other Related Tasks as Required
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or 60 college/university hours and three (3) years working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalent combination of education and working experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least one (1) year’s working experience working in a 2-year or 4-year college Federal funding system
- At least one (1) year’s working experience writing responses to request for proposals (RFP) from federal funding agencies (e.g. Department of Education, Department of Labor, etc.)
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of grant funding and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
- Skilled using online applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (e.g. Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Skilled in oral, electronic, and written communications
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
