- Operates different types of specialized heavy equipment used to perform construction and road maintenance projects.
- Implements, monitors and maintain traffic control standards at work sites and County right of way projects. Maintains traffic job safety standards.
- Inspects and manages precinct asset inventory and replacement including culvert pipes, concrete headwalls, bridge railing, guardrails, concrete pavement, concrete sidewalk, driveways, handicap ramps, and storm drain structures.
- Performs data input, creates reports, and monitors and updates job status.
- Analyzes and compiles data with use of Microsoft Office and Cartegraph software to determine the maintenance or replacement priority.
- Prioritizes and constructs the replacement and maintenance schedule for assets within the Precinct boundaries.
- Coordinates activities with various County employees and departments including Transportation Services, Sheriff’s Office, Sign Shop, Striping Crew, and multiple municipalities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED.
Five (5) full-time years of related experience.
Four (4) full-time years of sign installation experience preferred.
A Class A CDL is required upon hire, and a tanker endorsement is required within thirty (30) days of hire.
Knowledgeable of MUTCD codes and ADA specifications.
Possess a working knowledge of concrete and asphalt pavement and structures.
Knowledge of computer programs, smart levels, and digital measuring wheels.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing.
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
