- Provides assistance to customers in person, by telephone, mail, electronically, and through online LiveChat.
- Utilizes the County Clerk’s website, departmental records management system, and public portals to respond to routine requests for information and refer more complex requests to appropriate staff member.
- Accepts LifeChat inquiries, forwarding messages to the appropriate department if unable to provide answers.
- Receives and distributes incoming certified and regular mail and prepares outgoing mail.
- Intakes, file-marks, and distributes documents and ensures documents reach the proper destination.
- Scans, indexes, and assists with general file maintenance and other tasks as assigned by management. Conducts routine filing.
- Responsible for cash drawer and collection of fees. Issues and prepares receipt for copies and other customer requests.
- Verifies and prepares end-of-day deposit and balances monies received.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) full-time year of clerical work experience.
Must demonstrate proficiency with keyboarding.
Familiar with Microsoft Office.
Ability to work with numeric filing systems.
Must be bondable.
If hired, you must provide proof of educational attainment at new hire processing.
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudication in the past seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, push and pull.
