Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy – We are a long-term care pharmacy that provides specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. We have been providing long-term care pharmacy services since 2007, but we originated as part of our independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, which has been serving the local community since 1941. Through our dedication to provide excellence to our customers, we have grown from a small independent pharmacy to a multi-state long-term care pharmacy solution.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Participate in the month-end close process, assist with timely and accurate reporting.
- Reconcile accounts and identify/record journal entries as necessary.
- Reconcile bank statements and confirm all banking activity is recorded properly.
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents for annual audit.
- Assist with preparation of the accounts receivable roll forward and subledger reconciliation.
- Assist with monthly vendor reviews including review of account statements to confirm all invoices have been received and processed.
- Perform employee reimbursement review including confirmation that all required documentation has been provided and agrees to reimbursement requested.
- Assist with compliance tasks and filings, as needed.
- Other related duties and special projects, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- 2 years of related experience required.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and ability to rapidly learn new software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work as a team player with a committed, positive approach to working through adversity.
- A hands-on, detail-oriented professional with the ability to use logic and reasoning to identify deficiencies and get to a quick resolution.
- Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines, be accountable and deliver on commitments.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
As an Accountant, you maintain existing Tarrytown Expocare client relationships for services provided from our pharmacy locations, serving as a liaison between our pharmacy operations and the agencies (clients) we serve to ensure a consistency of services, troubleshoot concerns, provide trainings, and ensure client satisfaction and retention.
