Shift: Monday-Friday, 3PM - 11PM EST or 4PM - 12AM EST

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy - We are a long-term care pharmacy that provides specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. We originated as part of an independent retail pharmacy, Tarrytown Pharmacy, which has been serving the local community since 1941. We are seeking a hardworking, shipping team member to become part of our daily shipping department. Routes range from local/low mileage/many stops to more distant/higher mileage/fewer stops. We will provide you with a vehicle and a smartphone scanning device/digital applications to control jobs on a manifest and to secure signature for Proof of Delivery.

80% of your job will be delivering small packages to group homes throughout the region from a base of operations.

20% of your job will be helping the Shipping team sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare them for shipments.

You will be the face of the business, interacting with clients, so an appropriate degree of professionalism is required.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Clean driving record required (you will be asked to provide MVC abstract.) No CDL necessary.
• Able to work a steady Monday-Friday, 3PM - 11PM EST or 4PM - 12AM EST
• Sorts and organizes completed prescriptions
• Prepares shipments
• Performs supply inventory and places orders
• Receives and distributes orders to the appropriate department
• Ability to multi-task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team
• Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping
• FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus
• Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus
• Work to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department
• Basic understanding of or the ability to learn locations and organizational structure of the company
• Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
• Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times
• Must be able to stand/be on feet for duration of an eight (8) hour shift
• Must be able to traverse close quarters quickly
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to withstand long hours of driving and getting in and out of vehicle.
• Must be able to pick up to 40lbs to load vehicle.
• Must be able to drive at night
• Must be able to speak and write English
