Quality Manager
Summary:
Tarter Farm and Ranch is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team at the Tarter Industries Facility in Liberty KY. The Quality Manager reports to the QA Director and is responsible for the overall quality program, maintenance and application. Ensures continuous quality and performance of production while ensuring the integrity of quality control, consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals. The Quality Manager leads a team of quality control inspectors and manages daily activities.

Tarter Farm and Ranch is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team at the Tarter Industries Facility in Liberty KY. The Quality Manager reports to the QA Director and is responsible for the overall quality program, maintenance and application. Ensures continuous quality and performance of production while ensuring the integrity of quality control, consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals. The Quality Manager leads a team of quality control inspectors and manages daily activities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage QA department to ensure products are inspected and any quality issues are addressed in a timely and thorough manner.
- Utilize continuous improvement philosophy to improve quality and efficiency of processes.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventative action activities as necessary.
- Manage customer warranty claims.
- Report warranty claims to management as necessary.
- Conduct QC meetings as necessary with management to cover internal/external quality issues.
- Create/verify work instructions are in place for manufacturing product and ensure they are being followed.
- Provide customer service through sales department.
- Conduct annual inspector performance evaluation.
- Communicate with Tarter engineering group to ensure proper manufacturing of product.
- Track and calibrate in house measuring equipment as necessary.
- Manage and develop QA inspectors.
- Manage/Create 5S processes throughout the plant.
- Support ISO requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Process RMA’s.
- Perform root cause analysis activities in response to customer and internal quality concerns.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing, engineering or business related field preferred.
- 5 year’s progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility.
- Quality Management Experience.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
- Microsoft Office experience.
- ISO Experience Preferred.
- Able to read and interpret prints to ensure product meets written specifications.
- Product measurement experience using calipers, mics, protractors, height gages, tape measure etc.
- Inventory software experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are office environment and on the manufacturing floor. Minimal travel is required.
