Position Summary
The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting financial planning, pricing analysis, and business decision-making processes at Tarter. This position is responsible for analyzing pricing requests, maintaining pricing models, monitoring compliance, and providing insightful financial reporting to support the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple departments, including Sales, Accounting, and Operations, to ensure accurate financial analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Compliance
- Complete pricing requests in a timely manner, partnering with the Sales team to understand all aspects of each request while ensuring adherence to pricing thresholds.
- Assist Accounting in maintaining existing pricing grids within Epicor and help with the loading of new pricing structures.
- Monitor compliance with established pricing policies and guidelines, addressing any discrepancies as needed.
Financial & Data Analysis
- Analyze financial performance by comparing actual results to budget and forecast, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Identify key financial trends and make recommendations based on performance metrics and industry benchmarks.
- Lead and support cost savings and productivity initiatives, tracking impact and efficiency improvements across functions.
Financial Modeling & Reporting
- Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and business planning processes.
- Create and present monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports to senior management.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of key financial data, including weekly orders, sales, and KPI metrics.
Collaboration & Strategic Support
- Work closely with Sales teams to provide support for pricing questions, training, and education as needed.
- Provide financial data and analysis for customer meetings and support promotional pricing strategies.
- Lead the updating and reporting of Year-to-Date (YTD) Promotional Spend and develop Post-Promotional Analysis summaries for key programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in financial analysis, pricing, or a related role.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills: experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
- Ability to analyze large data sets and provide strategic recommendations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
