Responsibilities:
- The Senior Accountant will primarily focus on regulatory reporting and analysis, with a portion of their time dedicated to standard accounting processes and procedures, including accruals and reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual FERC and state financial reports.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the accuracy of reported financial statements.
- Analyze financial statements and provide explanations for variances and fluctuations.
- Perform monthly account reconciliation and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
- Process month-end journal entries and accurately determine the amount for accruals.
- Assist with the preparation of required audit documentation.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in an oil and gas regulatory reporting role, with knowledge of FERC, SCC, GAAP, and analytical reporting.
- Accounting background with experience in account reconciliation.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with any ERP system.
