What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Educator/Outreach Worker I position at Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc?
Seeking a Full-time Health Educator/Outreach Specialist for Substance Use Treatment/Prevention programs. Health Educator will be responsible for the day to day activities associated with health education and outreach to provide and support effective Substance use prevention/education to multiple populations. Responsibilities include conducting outreach and engagement with community partners, facilitating presentations and attending meetings with interested agencies and groups, developing outreach and engagement materials related to SUD treatment/prevention and other duties as directed by the Project Coordinator and Director.
Preferred:
- One year’s work as a community health educator or similar work experience.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
- Experience working with electronic presenting/outreach platforms such as ZOOM, Microsoft Team, Social Media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or behavioral health
- Must be comfortable with public speaking
