POSITION SUMMARY
Seeking a F/T Receptionist to work in Long Beach OP facility. Will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of the Operation Supervisor. Routing and handling of all in-coming and out-going calls through switchboard. General clerical assistance, e.g., typing, photocopying. Maintain daily "In and Out" log. Greet and assist patients and visitors entering facility and clinic. Preserve strict confidentiality regarding patients at all times. Stamp and organize outgoing mail prior to next mail pick-up. Assist Official Guests with "signing-in" of Visitors book. Responsible to ensure the lobby area is neat and clean. Maintain and fill brochure racks. Pass out childrens busy items for calm atmosphere. Answer 100 calls daily, scheduling SUD patients, coordinate with intake to facilitate walk ins. Assist with monthly insurance reports, assist with verifying insurance. Spanish Speaking preferred.
SALARY RANGE
$25 - $27 per hour DOE

HOURS
8 per Day / 5 Days per Week
CATEGORIES OF DUTIES
1. Routing and handling of all in-coming and out-going calls through switchboard.
2. General clerical assistance, e.g., typing, photocopying.
3. Maintain daily "In and Out" log.
4. Greet and assist patients and visitors entering facility and clinic.
5. Preserve strict confidentiality regarding patients at all times.
6. Stamp and organize outgoing mail prior to next mail pick-up. All mail is to be stamped by 11 a.m. and last mail to be stamped at 4:30 p.m. Mail is to be taken to Post Office Daily and picked-up Monday morning.
7. Assist Official Guests with "signing-in" of Visitors book.
8.Record incidents and/or unusual problems that hamper expedient switchboard operation or otherwise disturbs a calm, pleasant atmosphere.
9. Assist with other duties assigned by the Office Manager or Administrators as deemed necessary, e.g., logs, detox sign-in sheets, information calls, crisis calls.
10. Shall be responsible to either open or close front office/lobby.
- OPEN - 8 A.M.
- CLOSE - 8:30 P.M.
- SUN. 8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
- SUN. NOON - 4:30 P.M.
11. Tidy lobby area. Fill brochure racks.
12. Pass out childrens busy items for calm atmosphere.
13. No eating or reading during shift at Front Desk.
14. Page unauthorized vehicles for tow away.
15. Other duties as assigned by Office Manager, Director and/or Administrator.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of customer service, switchboard and appropriate telephone skills. Knowledge of general receptionist duties; bi-lingual preferred. Experience working with the general public. Pleasant personality and good attitude. Drug free minimum of one (1) year.
