District Dispatcher Responsibilities

Overview

The District Dispatcher will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient communication between drivers and the operations team. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a commitment to providing excellent service. The District Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling multiple locations within the district.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation routes for drivers, ensuring accuracy and maintaining a two week schedule at all times.
• Extensive collaboration with Operations and Branch Managers to ensure proper utilization rates are maintained.
• Communicate effectively with drivers using phone systems to provide real-time updates.
• Monitor fleet operations and manage day-to-day activities.
• Input and maintain accurate data.
• Respond promptly to any issues or delays that arise during transportation.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations within the supply chain.
• Work closely with the Finance Department, i.e. Billers and Operations Specialists, to ensure expeditious and accurate invoicing.
  
  

Requirements

Job Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively relay information.
• Proficiency in logistics management and supply chain processes.
• Fleet management systems.
• Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
• Familiarity with Acumatica and Wastelinq, Microsoft 365 or similar software is required.
• Basic understanding of environmental response route optimization is a plus.
