Tasca Automotive Group is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Service Advisor to join our service team. As a Service Advisor, you will be the primary point of contact for customers regarding their vehicle service and maintenance needs. Your role will involve providing exceptional customer service, accurately diagnosing vehicle issues, and ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon their arrival.
- Listen to and understand customer concerns, diagnosing service needs and recommending the appropriate maintenance or repair work.
- Prepare detailed work orders, specifying the nature of the repair or service required.
- Communicate with technicians to ensure efficient workflow and relay updates to customers on the status of their vehicle.
- Provide accurate cost estimates for repairs and services, and obtain customer approval for any additional work.
- Ensure vehicles are properly inspected and that all work is completed to the highest standards before returning the vehicle to the customer.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of warranty and recall policies to properly handle warranty work.
- Address customer questions and concerns to ensure complete satisfaction with service.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further needs.
- Manage appointments and schedules for service work to optimize the service department's efficiency.
- Maintain customer records in the system and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Prior experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of automotive repairs and maintenance services.
- Proficiency with automotive software systems and computer programs (experience with Kronos or similar systems is a plus).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Valid driver's license.
