Job Description
Task Force Services is seeking a Gated Access Technician for our Austin, TX based operation. This position requires an individual who is eager to learn and willing to work within the service area of Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas,Texas. We are looking for a positive individual who gets along well working on a team and independently. Our best team members have a "solutions-minded" approach to our projects.
This individual should have basic access control, gate mechanics and low voltage knowledge. Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting gated access equipment is a plus along with basic construction skills. This individual will be responsible for installation, repair, troubleshooting and providing diagnostic services to customers. Must be willing and able to drive anywhere in the service area to complete the work needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gate and Machine Installation
- Gate and Machine Assembly
- Gate and Machine Repair
- Low Voltage Access Control
- Cable Pulling
- General Construction
- General Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and provide Diagnostic Services
- Knowledge of Swing, Slide and Control Gates helpful.
- Networking knowledge helpful.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must present valid, unexpired, original IDs sufficient to complete the I-9 form

- Valid US driver's license and clean driving record
- Must pass a background check and routine drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Former Military Welcome
- Good Communication Skills are a priority
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Punctuality and a flexible schedule is a must
- Ability to work with others as a team or independently
- Be customer service focused
- Be thorough and detail-oriented
