What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Operator position at Task Force Tips?
The Lead Line Operator is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and performance of the Anodizing Line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
Oversees and monitors the highest level of production efficiency, schedule compliance, and oversees preventative maintenance of the line.
Works in tandem with the Lead Finisher to load and run parts in the order of priority.
Facilitates the correct finishing of parts required for Assembly to maintain schedule compliance.
Works with Finishing Manager to evaluate and resolve part shortages or quality issues associated with the Anodizing process to ensure needed parts on a timely basis.
Maintains frequent communication with Finishing Manager and Maintenance Manager to schedule repairs and make suggestions to improve line safety and performance.
Proactively offers suggestions for the improvement of a product, process, or practice.
Performs scheduled PMs on time. Coordinates with the Finishing and Maintenance Managers to schedule PMs that are performed by the Maintenance department.
Communicates regularly with the Finishing Manager advising of machine and or non-compliant process issues, or production problems, quality issues or any other situation that may slow down or stop production.
Assists with training and corrective instruction and has input in evaluating job performances for department personnel.
Organizes tooling, lab equipment and other items as needed. Maintain a clean and orderly lab to ensure accurate testing.
Maintains safe and orderly work area including organized safe chemical storage and inventory.
Maintain statistical data collection.
Maintains records and wastewater treatment system to protect TFT discharge license.
Performs scheduled reviews to and offers suggestions for improvements to the operating instructions and other quality documents. Assists with documents re-writes as instructed.
Monitors and ensures proper operation of support equipment such as the boiler, chiller, scrubbers, and chemical addition systems.
Utilizes data to adjust chemical additions to adequately maintain chemistry level for operation for automatic processing as well as the proper disposal of all empty containers related to this.
Communicate with Manager and Other Line operators to convey problems, solutions and other information that will be pertinent to their shift.
Sign off and record all tests and checks as identified in the lab daily checklist.
Performs other duties in the Finishing Department as assigned.

Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Ability to use excel spreadsheet software.
