About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist, Junior Project Manager, or Project Manager to support our environmental consulting projects in the oil and gas sector across Colorado. This role is based in Broomfield, CO, and requires candidates to either reside locally or be willing to relocate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for environmental stewardship, a strong grasp of regulatory compliance (ECMC), and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of environmental remediation projects within the oil and gas industry, ensuring compliance with project scope, schedules, and state regulations.
- Oversee site assessments, environmental impact evaluations, and regulatory compliance strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and field personnel, to develop and implement project plans.
- Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory documentation per state and local requirements.
- Monitor project progress, troubleshoot potential challenges, and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to provide updates and facilitate approvals.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations related to oil and gas operations (e.g., ECMC, CO DWR, CDPHE).
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to coach, problem-solve, and lead diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in environmental consulting, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced office environment with occasional fieldwork in varying weather conditions. Travel to project sites and client meetings as required.
Position Details
- Full-Time: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional extended hours.
- Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver’s license.
