Responsibilities
Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) activities.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and service.
- Maintain and enforce restaurant policies, procedures, and standards.
- Manage and maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant.
- Control inventory and manage food and labor costs to achieve financial goals.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the restaurant's budget.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage all restaurant staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee development.
- Address and resolve employee issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Schedule staff effectively to meet business demands and control labor costs.
- Lead by example, demonstrating excellent customer service and work ethic.
- Analyze financial reports and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Manage budgets and control expenses.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels.
- Ensure exceptional customer service and address customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Cultivate positive relationships with customers and build a loyal customer base.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews and feedback.
- Proficiently use and manage the restaurant's Point of Sale (POS) system (Toast experience is a significant plus).
- Utilize POS data to analyze sales trends, identify areas for improvement, and make informed business decisions.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, sheets, doc, etc.
- Experience in Restaurant management or General Manager.
- Proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of restaurant operations, including FOH and BOH.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets, costs, and inventory.
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems (Toast experience preferred).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field is a plus.
