TAT Limco in Tulsa, OK is looking for skilled Bench Mechanics for our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) operations. This position checks and repairs Aircraft Heat Exchangers and/or Aircraft Oil Cooler structural parts.
- Works under immediate supervision of team lead and/or supervisors
- Coordinates work with superiors on daily production targets and expectations
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Initial test units
- Cut up and debur parts
- Repair units
- Detail units
- Prepare units for sand blasting and/or painting
- Final testing
- Inspection of units
- Final detailing (applying alodine, installing tag)
- Documentation: work, work orders
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Has 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field preferred but willing to train and learn new skills
- Is mechanically inclined
- Has experience in use of basic hand tools (hammer, grinders, sanders), and air tools
- Is capable of interpreting complex drawings, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) and Engineering schematics
- Is capable of fulfilling processes (EP) with limited supervision
- Has effective communication and comprehension skills
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Is proactive in his/her approach to work and readily prepared for upcoming units
- Cleans and services equipment as needed
- Mat be asked to assist Team Leader or colleagues with other work as work demand requires
- May be required to be licensed and/or certified in certain areas of specialty as work demand requires
- Demonstrates good, physical mobility
- Is able to stand or sit for up to eight hours, lift up to 50lbs, bend, push, pull, reach, and stoop
- Is able to pass pre-hire and ongoing, random drug testing as required as a Department of Transportation (DOT) facility regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
- Is able to pass pre-hire background check screening
