Braze Furnace Operator (Aerospace & Defense) Split Shift Mon-Fri 9am-5:30

TAT Limco in Tulsa, OK has an opening for a Brazing Furnace Operator controls and operates electric vacuum furnaces to perform various heat-treating requirements. Communicates cross-functionally between operations, engineering, quality, and core assembly to create a workflow schedule that meets the plant production goals. Works closely with core assembly department to produce quality products.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Reads shop work orders to determine production sequences and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Read blue prints and conduct a visual inspection to insure there are no issues with the core before brazing or heat treating
• Work with Engineering to develop fixtures, holding methods, or heat-treating processes
• Performs preventative maintenance on furnace equipment including cleaning and visual inspection
• Follows all required safety procedures to lock-out and protect against confined space problems
  
  
  

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Requires basic computer knowledge and experience in programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and ability to learn furnace control and monitoring software
• Minimum of two years of Manufacturing experience. Technical school education and brazing furnace operator experience is a plus
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Adhere to rules and regulations of a FAA Safety Sensitive Position
• Ability to work a split shift from Mon-Fri 9AM-5:30PM with some overtime as required
• Ability to pass pre-hire and ongoing, random drug testing as required as a Department of Transportation (DOT) facility regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
• Ability to pass pre-hire background check screening
