What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mine Maintenance Electrical Specialist position at Tata Chemicals?
General Summary of Duties:
Plans and coordinates labor, equipment, tools, drawings and material requirements for maintenance jobs, including outages and shutdowns, to ensure cost effective, timely and safe completion. Assists in performing programming for automation products and variable frequency drives. Draws electrical prints utilizing AutoCAD.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews maintenance job orders and work priorities. Studies production and operation schedules and confers with other maintenance and production supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operational requirements. Ensures availability of spare parts, materials and labor when required.
Reviews manufacturers' service manuals, Company usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance work. Suggests ways to improve equipment performance, reliability, and availability.
Estimates and monitors costs associated with maintenance projects and reports variances and irregularities to management. Prepares and maintains plans, schedules, lists, requisitions, drawings, reports, logs and other maintenance related documents. Assists management in development, preparation and status of departmental budgets and forecasts. Works with electrical vendors to provide low-cost solutions to projects.
Monitors work in progress and advises management of work order backlog. Provides plans for panel setups. Writes specifications for electrical equipment, new and rebuilt.
Assists in maintaining PLC controllers, ethernet network and variable frequency drives. Puts electrical prints on AutoCAD. May be assigned other duties.
Qualifications:
Must be analytical, detail and team oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must possess thorough understanding and knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures including variable frequency drives, PLC programming and network utilization. Must be knowledgeable of computer operations and associated software; ABB, A-B and Intellution a plus. Must possess or be able to obtain applicable Wyoming trona mine supervisory certifications.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in electrical related field; or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience a plus.

Pay: $125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
