What are the responsibilities and job description for the SENIOR MANAGER INTERNATIONAL REGULATORY position at Tata Communications?
JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Subject-matter expert in the area of international voice telecommunications, with particular focus on fraud, robocalls, and related regulatory compliance with requirements imposed by National Regulatory Authorities and / or partners and suppliers. Working closely with myriad internal teams to develop processes, templates, and other measures that ensure compliance with international voice regulatory requirements related to the above. Handle issues and disputes arising with other industry partners and participants regarding the above. Participate in global associations as needed regarding these responsibilities.
- Subject-matter expert in the area of telephone numbering resources and related global regulatory compliance, including numbering requirements of partners and suppliers.
- Advise voice product teams regarding new market entry and / or new product development. Ensuring that authorizations required are obtained from the National Regulatory Authorities. Managing licensing, reviewing / editing contract templates and / or clauses for voice products / services, access to numbering resources, ongoing compliance, interaction / negotiation with partners and suppliers, regulators and other government officials within assigned regions / countries.
- Resolving regulatory issues affecting both proposed and existing products (providing overall product guidance as well as answering questions affecting specific sales of voice products).
- Handling of regulatory projects assigned from time to time, such as regulatory reporting audits by regulators, automation of regulatory reporting and expansion of organization's regional footprint. Advising others on matters that are related to regulatory processes and compliance regarding the above responsibilities.
- Analyzing and evaluating laws and regulations that apply to the process of determining the impact on company products and activities regarding the above responsibilities.
- Liaise and negotiate with Company local councils and regulatory authorities in the assigned regions.
The successful candidate will be able to convey legal and regulatory advice in a concise and thorough manner (written and oral) and will be required to work independently, but within reach of a top-notch Regulatory Legal team.
Total Compensation (excluding benefits) : $160,000 - $210,000. A comprehensive benefits plan is offered including Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage, as well as a 401k plan.
