Position Overview:
The Sales Hunter will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding the customer base in the East Coast region for an engineering services provider headquartered in Detroit, MI. Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Prospecting :
Identify, target, and secure new clients across the East Coast region, focusing on automotive OEMs and Tier-1s only.Develop a robust pipeline by researching potential customers, utilizing networking opportunities, and leveraging industry events.Engage with decision-makers such as CTOs, Engineering Heads, Procurement Leaders, and C-Suite executives to pitch value propositions.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospects, maintaining a customer-first approach.Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand client challenges and align with our value proposition and map the requirements.Serve as the primary point of contact during the sales cycle and ensure seamless working with internal practice and delivery teams.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Closely work with HQ in mplementing sales strategies specific to the East Coast market, share inputs and insights considering regional trends and competitive landscape.Collaborate with internal practice and delivery teams to create compelling proposals, presentations, and solutions tailored to csutomer needs.Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets by consistently closing deals.
Market Intelligence and Reporting:
Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities within the East Coast region.Provide feedback to practice and delivery teams to refine offerings based on client and market insights.Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales progress in CRM (SFDC) and prepare regular sales reports for management reviews.Participate in strategic planning discussions to contribute regional insights and support broader company objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.10 years of sales or business development experience in engineering services or a related field.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a "hunter" role.Strong understanding of engineering services and solutions, including design, development, and consulting.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Self-motivated, with a high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently.Willingness to travel extensively within the East Coast region.
