Job Description:
The Engine End-of-Test Reporting Specialist will be responsible for compiling comprehensive technical reports based on engine teardown and part inspection activities. This role requires strong coordination, documentation, and presentation skills to effectively convey engineering findings.
Key Responsibilities:
Report Creation:
- Develop detailed engine end-of-test reports summarizing teardown findings, including engineers’ observations, photos, and measured data.
Meeting Participation:
- Act as a liaison during engine teardown and part inspection review meetings.
- Listen to and document engineers' individual part inspection comments accurately.
Data Collection:
- Guide a photographer in capturing relevant part images during inspections.
- Gather and consolidate any measured data available during teardown sessions.
Presentation Development:
- Use PowerPoint to create structured technical reports that include:
- Engineers’ comments.
- Key takeaways or observations on each slide.
- Photos and measured data as visual evidence of findings.

Customer Alignment:
- Align reports with the format and style guidelines provided by the customer, ensuring professional and consistent documentation of engineering findings.
Analysis and Communication:
- Highlight key observations and actionable insights from teardown sessions.
- Ensure each slide presents concise, clear information to facilitate decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in technical reporting or a related role within the automotive or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with engine teardown processes and part inspection protocols.
- Experience working in a fast-paced automotive environment.
