Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a NC Programmer to strengthen our team in Columbus, GA. Job Description : Key Responsibilities : 1. NC Program Development :
- Analyze part prints, manufacturing operation sheets, and NX part models to develop and modify Numerical Control (NC) programs for various 2, 3, 4, and 5 axis machine tools.
- Utilize NX CAD / CAM graphical system and Turbosoft airfoil programming software for program development. 2. Technical Expertise :
- Provide machining and development teams with expertise on potential machining challenges and their impact on surface properties. 3. Program Refinement :
- Independently develop and refine NC programs, showcasing proficiency and initiative in program optimization. 4. Process Optimization :
- Determine optimal feeds, speeds, and tool selection for a range of milling applications.
- 5. Collaboration and Optimization :
- Collaborate with machine operators and Manufacturing Engineers to optimize machining processes and enhance machine tool capabilities. Basic Qualifications :
- Associate degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in engineering, manufacturing, technical, or related industrial fields.
- 5 or more years of experience in programming 2 - 5 axis machine tools using Unigraphics and Vericut CAD / CAM software systems.
- Proficiency in CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) languages, machining techniques, and machine tool capabilities for effective program design.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including experience with Kaizen events or involvement in continuous improvement programs (ACE, 6S, etc.).
