About the Role
The Finance Operations Manager will lead and optimize the company's financial transaction processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll. They will drive process improvements, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance while developing robust financial controls, particularly in AR credit management and AP processing. As a strategic business partner, they will collaborate across departments to enhance financial transparency and support company growth. Additionally, they will build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in scaling finance operations to meet the company’s evolving needs.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and build a highly focused finance operations team with a keen focus on AP, AR and Payroll.
- Process Analysis and Improvement: Develop a strong understanding of the business and identify areas for improvement. Develop, optimize and document standard operating procedures for AP, AR and Payroll.
- AR Control: Keep close control of credit within the Tate organization and ensure all credit limits are kept within their approved limits. Forecast pinch points in credit with customers and request increases to limits where required.
- AP Management: Work closely with the existing AP staff to improve invoice processing and customer onboarding times. Ensure a best-in-class service is provided to all suppliers.
- Payroll: Develop the payroll function and bring clear process and structure to this area of the business. Ensure there is robust control around this.
- Business Partnering: This department will be one of the key interfaces of the finance team with the rest of the company. The successful candidate should be adept at managing relationships and serving the rest of the company.
- Managing Growth: The processes and structures put in place will need to provide a platform for the company to grow. The successful candidate will need to build for the future and be adaptable to the future needs of the company.
- Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting / business administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA) preferred.
- 5 years’ experience working in a finance function with a direct experience of working in or managing at least two of the three functions under consideration.
- Experience leading a team of at least 5 people.
- Succinct communication skills that provide clear and unambiguous direction throughout the business.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and logical mindset which allows you to anticipate problems and implement systems to prevent issues occurring.
- Skilled in bringing people together to achieve a common goal.
- Process driven mindset with a focus on controls and accountability.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering company.
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders from a varied set of backgrounds.
