About the Role
The Sourcing Specialist supports all aspects of our Raised Access Floors and Data Center products. Performs purchasing functions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to ensure adequate flow of critical materials. sources new products and suppliers as required for specific initiatives. Works among multiple teams to successfully fulfill customer requirements. Actively participates in problem-solving exercises, communicates concerns, and issues, and works towards successful resolutions. Identifies opportunities for improvement and acts to implement process changes.
What You’ll Do
- Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation, to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Oversee project material buyout processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with project requirements.
- Read and interpret MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and HVAC drawings to ensure accurate procurement and project execution.
- Ensures that the manufacturing and commercial teams has the adequate and timely flow of materials and services.
- Acquires a full understanding of material applications, uses, and the constructability of finished products.
- Monitor and correct inventory discrepancies, initiate corrective actions as necessary, and suggest alternate uses to prevent material obsolescence.
- Develop a critical understanding of material costs, commodity fluctuations, and cost drivers to secure competitive pricing.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities while expanding the supply chain by onboarding new vendors.
- Actively participate in project forecasting to optimize resource and material planning.
- Assist in resolving critical situations and revisions professionally, providing support to multiple Tate teams in meeting customer requirements.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal departments, personnel, and suppliers.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions and compliance with corporate regulations and procedures.
- Keeps awareness of individual contributions to quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies, reporting any issues or concerns as necessary.
Additional Expectation
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, or a related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in sourcing functions, with a demonstrated ability to solve problems, improve processes, and achieve key objectives.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing processes, vendor and supplier negotiations, cost drivers, and market conditions.
- Experience in material management, inventory control, and MRP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP and HVAC drawings to ensure accurate material procurement and execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) and other relevant computer applications.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Tate facilities and suppliers as needed.
