Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Network Operations Manager to lead and manage our network operations team. This role will oversee the performance, security, and reliability of network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network management, troubleshooting, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure high availability and performance of network infrastructure through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
- Develop and implement network policies, standards, and best practices.
Security & Compliance:
- Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain network security protocols.
- Monitor for security threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring timely mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and administrators.
- Coordinate with IT Operations, Help Desk, and Cybersecurity teams to align network performance with business needs.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate network hardware and software solutions.
Incident Response & Troubleshooting:
- Oversee network troubleshooting efforts to quickly resolve outages and performance issues.
- Develop incident response plans and ensure rapid resolution of network-related issues.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5 years of experience in network administration, network engineering, or IT operations.
- 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, or similar network technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, or CompTIA Network are preferred.
Physical Requirements & Working Environment:
- Physical activity including sitting, standing, walking, and occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Extended computer use and repetitive hand movements.
- On-site and remote work flexibility with occasional travel to client locations.
