The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for receiving incoming material and properly entering material

Responsibilities
- Receives materials and ensures proper data is entered into the inventory tracking system correctly.
- Verifies items received by inspecting the condition of items, compares count/measure of items to
- Coordinates with Purchasing to manage damages and DMR warehouse, completing all necessary
- Communicates with Cost Accounting, Scheduling, and other necessary support employees as needed.
- Adjusts inventory via negative balance sheets to ensure that inventory balance variances coordinate
- Assists Accounts Payable with invoice reconciliation when necessary.
- Maintains organization of all finished products.
- Must be present and part of physical inventory
- Performs any other duties as assigned or directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
- Follows all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard
and Safety Manual.
- Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and
conditions to the proper personnel.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
- 2 years warehouse, inventory, or shipping experience required.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to operate the following equipment: Forklift, Combi-Lift.
- Must have current and valid Driver’s License.
- Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to use online real-time manufacturing control systems, including MAPICS or other current
- Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape
- Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
