About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager with 15 years in the engineering and manufacturing space, particularly in the data center industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading teams in the manufacturing environment, from process optimization to quality assurance. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing product quality, operational efficiency, and innovation, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance work culture.
- Provide insight on improvements to existing products, manufacturing of product and optimization of data center infrastructure products while ensuring adherence to quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including, Sales, Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering submittal processes, new part number creation, delivery time to customers, accuracy of submittal and bill of material, enhance product reliability, and reduce operational costs.
- Mentor and coach engineering talent, providing leadership, career development, and performance management.
- Define and implement engineering strategies to ensure the scalability, efficiency, and sustainability of data center products.
- Manage multiple engineering projects, setting clear priorities and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, and process documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Oversee ECN process for Engineering Drawings along with the standardization of engineering part numbers and drawings across the organization to ensure consistency, traceability, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in data centers and manufacturing to ensure the organization remains competitive and innovative.
- Foster relationships with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and efficient manufacturing operations.
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- At least 15 years of experience in engineering, with a proven track record in the data center or related industries.
- Strong leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to manage and inspire engineering teams.
- In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including Structural Ceilings, Containment Solutions and Raised Access Floor Solutions
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and cost optimization in a high-volume production environment.
- Expertise in project management, including the use of tools like Agile, Six Sigma, or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and product lifecycle management systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Experience with data center construction or modular data center solutions.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
- Familiarity with international regulatory requirements and industry standards for data center manufacturing.
