Sod Install Crew Member

Tater Farms is looking for Sod Installation Crew Member to join our team.

Pay Rate : $16 - $18 per hour

Responsibilities:

Complete prep-work at job sites including raking, shoveling, and tearing out old sod

Install new sod at commercial and residential job sites

Clean up sites before leaving any jobs

Operate forklifts, loaders, and other equipment safely

Act as the backup to the crew leader if the leader is not at the jobsite

Follow the daily install schedule

Report any safety concerns and/or damaged equipment immediately

Requirements & Qualifications:

Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Able to work in a team environment to accomplish goals

Able to work in a variety of weather conditions for extended periods of time

Physically able to stand, bend, kneel and reach for extended periods of time

Highly dependable and willing to learn

Able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 80 lbs frequently

Must be able to climb in and out of equipment frequently

Prefer experience with pulling a gooseneck trailer

Prefer previous experience operating a forklift and skid steer

Prefer 1 year of previous experience laying sod

Bilingual is English & Spanish is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 65 per week
