Tates Rents is seeking an ambitious financial professional excited about being a part of a growing employee-owned company. The base of this position requires the ability to manage a strong accounting department and is responsible for financial reporting. However, the right candidate has the capacity to grow and go beyond the numbers to provide strategic insight.

Requirements :

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for internal and external financial statements. Month-end close including reconciliation of accounts and posting of journal entries.
• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Review and document current accounting practices and procedures, with focus on opportunities for continued enhancements to controls, productivity, and efficiency.
• Manage federal, state, and local tax reporting and compliance.
• Oversee accounting department processes and controls.
• Ensure compliance with 401k and ESOP rules and annual compliance testing.
• Prepare and manage budget process.
• Cash flow forecasting.
• Supervise accounting staff including AR and AP performance and strategy.
• Develop and monitor financial performance metrics.
• Analyze monthly financials and relevant data to provide insight at the leadership level.
• Work with executive team to guide organization strategy.
• Assist in managing banking relationships.
• Oversee capital expenditures and equipment purchasing.
• Oversee company data, provide relevant reporting from different company systems to assist company in financial decision making
• Oversee corporate credit card program and controls.
• Oversee merchant services debit and credit card processing and fees
• Perform other duties as requested
