OVERVIEW
Project Manager I provides strategic oversight and operational management for assigned projects on a contract supporting NSWC Corona Division’s Corporate Operations Department. This role ensures projects align with government contracting requirements, compliance standards, and performance milestones. The Project Manager I will facilitate project planning, financial tracking, personnel oversight and reporting to maintain contract deliverables. They serve as the primary liaison between the contracting team, NSWC leadership, and project personnel, ensuring continuity, efficiency, and adherence to Navy standards.
TASKS
Project Manager I is responsible for overseeing various aspects of project management, including:
Meetings and Reporting:
- Conduct weekly meetings with Government representatives for task updates.
- Provide written monthly status reports addressing progress toward program milestones and performance measures.
- Submit required reporting to include personnel rosters and financial reports detailing funding status
- Provide check-in reports for new hires, standard practice procedure reports, security incident reports, training requirement reports, and check-out reports.
Project and Financial Oversight:
- Analyze trends, cost forecasts, and workload planning.
- Provide recommendations related to labor category requirements and skills.
- Ensure project performance aligns with contractual requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business, or a related field
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant project management experience, preferably with supporting government contract.
Skills and Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar.
- Ability to conduct cost forecasts, workload planning, and risk assessments.
- Strong understanding of Government contracts and reporting requirements.
- Experience in financial tracking, preparing reports, and compliance with government procedures.
- Ability to manage subcontractors, labor categories, and task assignments.
Security and Compliance:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- DoD SECRET clearance is required (Interim clearance acceptable).
- Familiarity with government record-keeping and compliance reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $104,366.00 - $110,638.00 per year
