We are a nonprofit research team dedicated to advancing open-source artificial intelligence models and tools to accelerate biology research. Tatta Bio brings together computer scientists and biologists to solve the fundamental challenge of interpreting genomes, the "source code" of biology.
We are a small and rapidly growing team, which means this role offers a unique opportunity for high ownership and direct impact. As our first dedicated business development hire, you will play a key role in shaping our strategy, building partnerships, and driving the transition of our open science platform into a sustainable product. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an early-stage environment and is eager to take initiative.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA is a plus but not required).
- 5 years of experience in business development, product development, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven track record in software solutions, preferably in biotech, academic research, or scientific software markets.
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies for scientific or research-focused products.
- Familiarity with grant-funded research environments and open-source business models is a plus.
- Develop and execute a business strategy to drive the adoption of Tatta Bio’s open science partnerships and commercial engagements to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and potential revenue streams.
- Represent Tatta Bio at conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities.
