The Analytics Manager, Category & Innovation plays a key role in unlocking growth and driving decision-making across Tatte’s category and innovation strategies. This individual is responsible for conducting sophisticated analyses that inform innovation, category strategy, pricing, and performance management. Reporting to the Director of Category Management & Sales Growth Initiatives, the Analytics Manager will support business leaders by turning complex data into actionable insights, designing testing protocols, analyzing product performance, and monitoring consumer and industry trends. This individual must be detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about bringing together data and brand to inform impactful decision-making.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Category & Menu Performance Analysis
- Own and maintain Product Mix (PMIX) analysis to track product performance across dayparts, channels, and regions, as they impact P&L.
- Lead periodic category analyses, deep dives, and reporting to identify opportunities for Tatte’s menu, merchandising innovation, and growth.
- Develop and maintain economic models at the category level to track shifts in mix, volume, margin and impact to the overall business
- Assemble business scorecards for new product launches, tests, and eliminations.
- Conduct pre-post and test-control analyses to evaluate the impact of product or menu changes.
- Lead after-action analysis and review for seasonal menus, holiday performance, and café/market tests.
- Support the culinary research process pre-launch, during, and post-launch by concept screening, analyzing product performance, collecting consumer feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners on our Brand/Concept, Culinary, Bakery, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality and actionable insights and recommendations.
- Work closely with the Category Management & Innovation Team to develop category and guest hypotheses, strategies, and tests focused on incremental sales and penny profit growth.
- Create comprehensive analysis of seasonal menus, holiday celebrations, and café/market tests to deepen performance understanding.
Forecasting & Financial Modeling
- Provide category level forecasts to Planning, Operations, and Sourcing to support business readiness.
- Set cost and sales targets for new innovation menu items and in-market tests.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Finance teams to support category-level financial goals & KI’s.
- Monitor and report on competitive benchmarking - in-market competitors/peers for menu structure strategies, menu offerings, and pricing benchmarks
- Perform analyses to support actionable recommendations on menu structure, new product development and pricing.
Test & Learn Analysis
- Design and implement A/B, pre-post, test-control, testing frameworks to validate new menu or merchandising initiatives to inform decision making.
- Collaborate with Category Management, Culinary, and Operations to develop and evaluate hypotheses for innovation and growth.
- Lead test setup, tracking, and analysis to determine incrementality and performance against KIs.
Consumer & Market Insights
- Translate data into insights to support product development and category management initiatives.
- Leverage primary (surveys, feedback) and secondary (industry, syndicated) research to inform strategies.
- Track and report on industry and consumer trends in food, beverage, and hospitality to inspire innovation.
- Support development of primary research questionnaires, screener questions, analysis and reporting of test results.
- Conduct ad hoc analyses, including findings & actions, for business leaders to evaluate market and product opportunities.
- Regularly analyses market, category and consumer trends to support Tatte’s innovation process.
- Conduct secondary research to deepen collective understanding of industry and consumer dynamics impacting the business.
Communication & Influence
- Translate complex findings into compelling, visually-driven presentations for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Communicate data-driven recommendations that align with Tatte’s brand and business goals.
- Partner closely with Culinary, Brand, Marketing, and Store Operations to drive alignment and action.

Position Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience conducting business analysis (e.g., sales reporting, category management reporting, growth decomposition, opportunity assessments, and/or forecasting etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree required; background in business, economics, analytics, or related field.
- Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations
- Self-starter with a flexible mindset
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing parallel workstreams
- Willingness to learn and grow new skills and responsibilities over time
- Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills; confident presenting findings to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
- Experience with SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, QuickSight, Crunchtime, Snowflake or similar data tools.
- Experience in restaurant, retail, or consumer packaged goods industries.
- Prior roles in analytics, category management, financial planning, or consumer research.
- Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g., NPD/CREST).
- MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
