The Project Coordinator works closely with the designer to realize their vision by: providing ideas and solutions for their design, estimating fabric and labor costs, maintaining communications with clients, specifying the details of fabrication for the workroom and closely monitoring progress of each project, tracking open issues, action items and expediting the project. The ideal candidate must be flexible and team-oriented but must also have the ability to take individual initiative and solve problems independently. They should be outgoing, detail-oriented and hard working. Being able to multi-task is a must.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and maintain existing business relationships
- Initiate new design accounts through sales, marketing and referrals
- Consult and assist clients with design of window treatments
- Accurately measure job sites
- Calculate specifications for window treatments (i.e.: yardages and finished measurements)
- Generate estimates
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from measure thru production and installation
- Oversee and assist installations
- Lead and direct the work of others
Job Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in the interior design field
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures in the interior design field
- Window treatment knowledge preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent math skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Occasional travel in and out of state
