Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements – because precision is key!
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets – think of yourself as the financial guardian!
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes with finesse and efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor a high-performing accounting team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Manage treasury and cash flow like a pro, ensuring the company always has the funds it needs to thrive.
- Implement and maintain top-notch accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of strategic financial plans and budgets.
- Ensure seamless processing within QuickBooks Online.
- Spearhead the transition to a new ERP system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Construction industry accounting experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop accounting staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Experience with treasury and cash management.
Additional Requirements:
- This is a full-time, on-site position.
- The typical work schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility.
