Our client is a global publicly traded, consumer services company undergrowing tremendous growth! They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team!
Candidates will be considered living in the following markets: Miami, FL, Stamford, CT, Las Vegas, NV and/or Phoenix, AZ
Responsibilities:
- Promptly prepare schedules for quarterly and annual financial reports submitted to the CSE and SEC, including financial statements, assigned footnotes, and MD&A disclosures.
- Assist in continuously evaluating existing disclosures and identifying the need for new ones to ensure full compliance with CSE and SEC reporting standards and adequate transparency in the company’s filings.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors on their audits and reviews of the company’s quarterly and annual reports, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and overseeing the audit request process.
- Implement and document all internal controls related to external financial reporting and consolidations, while identifying ways to improve, streamline, or replace current processes to minimize risks and enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Partner with departments such as General Ledger Accounting, Legal, Tax, Technical Accounting, and Treasury as needed to support financial reporting efforts.
- Work closely with Investor Relations to help prepare quarterly earnings releases and other relevant external communications.
Qualifications:
- CPA certification is mandatory.
- At least four years of increasing responsibility in financial reporting and/or accounting within a mid-to-large public company, a division of such a company, or a public accounting firm.
- A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in preparing and presenting financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, including familiarity with financial statement close procedures.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, financial disclosure standards, and reporting methods, with a strong focus on SEC rules and regulations.
Salary : $140,000 - $150,000
