What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insulation Installer position at Tatum Insulation II?
Tatum Insulation II has been providing the best quality services in the Carolinas for over 30 years, and we're looking to continue growing with all of the new construction opportunities arriving in the area. We are seeking new Insulation Installers to help with that growth and help maintain that level of excellence, dependability, and professionalism that we are known for.
The Insulation Installer position installs fiberglass insulation according to specs and job requirements and is responsible for providing outstanding service to our customers, loading and unloading materials, completing safety checks, and working on ladders and in tight spaces. You must be mechanically inclined, able to maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record and perform basic math skills. We have a variety of jobs that need to be tackled with the same level of excellence from new construction houses, commercial buildings, crawl spaces, attics, etc. Experience with fiberglass insulation is highly preferred.
We pay our installers a highly competitive commission that is dependent on job size and/or difficulty.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine insulation requirements
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas
- Ability to work in tight spaces such as attics or crawl spaces
- Mechanically inclined
- Seal gaps and cracks to ensure proper insulation
- Install vapor barriers and fire-retardant materials when required
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and job sites.

Experience:
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and construction techniques
- Familiarity with insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, or cellulose
- Ability to climb ladders/scaffolding when needed and lift heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
