Sourcing Manager - Dallas, TX
Our client, a leader in providing industrial packaging solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Manager to join their team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sourcing process, from supplier research and selection to cost management, negotiation, and long-term partnership development. Your efforts will contribute directly to improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and aligning sourcing strategies with the company's broader goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a local sourcing strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business objectives, supporting growth and profitability in the packaging sector.
- Lead the full procurement cycle, including supplier market analysis, evaluation, contract negotiations, and ongoing supplier performance management.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and optimization programs within the sourcing process.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their specific needs and ensure alignment with sourcing strategies, budgets, and business goals.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate sourcing performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate market trends and forecast future sourcing needs related to packaging materials and suppliers to support both current and future demand.
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and initiate partnerships that deliver value to both the company and its customers.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with supplier partnerships.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, benchmarking suppliers, and ensuring their capacity to meet business needs in terms of both volume and quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a sourcing or procurement-related role.
- Experience in project management or manufacturing, particularly in industrial packaging, is highly preferred.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required; additional language skills are a plus.
- Local candidates in the Dallas-Fort Worth area are preferred.
