Job Summary:
A HelpDesk Intern will work closely with the HelpDesk team to support internal users with their technology needs. Key responsibilities include imaging computers, configuring software and security settings, testing equipment, installing new hardware, mailing configured equipment, and providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Image desktop and laptop computers for deployment.
- Configure newly imaged computers with appropriate software and security settings.
- Test returned or old computer equipment to verify operational status and update inventory records.
- Install new computer equipment at employees' desks for a seamless setup.
- Mailing newly configured equipment to remote users for timely delivery and setup.
- Assist users with new computer setup, both onsite and remotely via phone support.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Possess a passion for technology, IT support, and problem-solving.
- Have basic knowledge of computer imaging, software installation, and security configurations (training provided).
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Show organizational skills to track inventory and equipment deployments.
- Achieve a proactive and hands-on approach to learning and assisting the HelpDesk team.
