What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3461 - District: Technology Level I Computer Technician position at Taunton Public Schools?
Minimum Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree and /or an Advanced Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of multimedia and computer equipment.
• Experience with computer technology as it applies to “long distance learning” through Video IP, Video on Demand and cable TV operations.
• Experience in troubleshooting computer video and software/hardware.
• Positive interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Superintendent or designee may deem appropriate.
Job Goal: To trouble shoot and repair computer and media (phone, bells, and intercoms security cameras/systems) concerns throughout the district and support the Technology Department and its staff.
Job Responsibilities: as per the draft Job Description on file with the Personnel Office as it may be finalized, amended and approved in the future by the Taunton School Committee.
