A BIT ABOUT THE JOB:
The Role of the Field Sales Representative is to market, sell and represent Taurex Drill Bits. Among your responsibilities will be the collection of data and delivery of product to the well site. You are responsible for providing innovative insights to your customers and informing them about new and existing opportunities. This includes recognizing your customers' needs with an overall goal of increasing company sales.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Selling and promoting products to both existing and potential clients
- Establishing and maintaining positive business relationships with clients
- Monitoring competitors’ sales activities
- Cold calling potential clients
- Coordinating sales efforts with other departments
- Supplying the management team with reports on customer needs or interests, potential new products, or services, and competitive activities
- Maintain proper inventory control and submit required paperwork according to company policy.
- Inform the District Manager if there are any discrepancies between products and services and ensure that company products meet or exceed client expectations.
- Frequent travel is required to visit drilling rigs in the field, which includes driving to and from location.
- Participates in any training as needed.
- Promotes respect for operating procedures and adherence to safety regulations.
- Must be available for on call and weekends.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years bit sales experience or 5 years oilfield sales experience preferred but not required
- Excellent organization skills
- Good interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to overcome objections from potential clients
- Experience with commissioned sales, field sales, or related fields
- Self-motivated energy
- Record of achieving quotas
- Ability to solve problems and to deal with a variety of variables
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
