JOB TITLE: Quality Assurance Technician (2nd Shift)
EXEMPT STATUS: Hourly - Non-Exempt
POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to assure that manufactured products meet customer requirements and provide Quality Assurance. This position may inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh nonagricultural raw materials or processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications. May use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform QA inspections per control plan of parts being molded and/or assembled
- Perform final inspections of parts being molded and/or assembled as requested
- Inspect in-coming inserts and components and document objective evidence
- Maintain QA Inspection and related documentation
- Maintain shop and QA folders, assuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Create and update “last shot” sample bags, place in master bag in last shot totes
- Perform first article inspections
- Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to production for product identification and resolution
- Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
- Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents, and reports
- Assists in maintaining ISO registration and regulatory conformance
- Provide breaks for press operators (AM & PM) if needed
- Follow all safety policies
- Other duties as directed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Lifting up to 40 pounds
- Loud working conditions and may be exposed to extreme temperatures on the floor

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- HS diploma or equivalent
Related Experience:
- Must have experience in Quality (1 year)
JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Basic knowledge of inspection processes and manufacturing systems
- Must have basic knowledge of Quality principles
- Basic communication, interpersonal, and organization skills
- Ability to work within a team
- Must have basic problem-solving skills
- Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
