Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Process Control Engineer based in our Prairieville, Louisiana office. The Process Control Engineer will be assigned onsite at client location in Plaquemine, Louisiana.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Actively participate in Site and Corporate Safety programs.
- Provide customer consultation on process control ABB 800xA and Mod300 hardware, system software, device communications, and control networks at St. Charles Operations in Louisiana and occasionally at other client sites in Louisiana.
- Routinely implement minor upgrades and expansions to process control systems utilizing GPM.
- Participate on a rotating basis to provide 24-hour on-call process control problem and resolution support service coverage for Louisiana Operations site Users.
- Perform process control system hardware and software audits.
- Debug process control system hardware and system software problems.
- Maintain updated program documentation and system program backups.
- Work as part of an integrated design team to meet project requirements and deliverables. Work as part of project team to provide facility startup coverage.
- Point of contact for shipments and inventory management associated with client Inventory Access Program with ABB
