General Laborer

Job Summary:

The laborer will assist with various tasks throughout the shop as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Assist with daily activities across all departments as directed by supervisor

· Assembles machinery and fabricated metal products according to directions

· Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications

· Cuts and preps materials as needed

· Deburr material as directed

· Insert hardware via hardware machine as directed

· Assist with packaging parts for shipping

· Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks

· Maintains equipment and machinery and performs basic repairs when needed

· Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor

· Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to use various basic hand tools

· Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics

· Detail-oriented and consistent

· Works well as a productive member of a team

· Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment

· Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks

· Able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time

· Possess manual dexterity in order to assemble products as directed

· Excellent hand-eye coordination

· Must wear required PPE at all times

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
