Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pipe systems and be proficient in various welding techniques. This role requires the ability to read blueprints and schematics, ensuring that all installations and repairs meet industry standards. The Pipefitter will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure efficient project completion.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems in accordance with specifications and codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for pipe fitting tasks, including pipe threading and welding.
- Perform stick welding as needed to join metal components securely.
- Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify issues or areas needing maintenance.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians to ensure proper integration of piping within heating and cooling systems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in pipeline installation and maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with using calipers and other measuring tools for precise measurements.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective communication skills.
