Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and dismantling scaffolding systems that provide safe access for workers on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure project completion on time and within specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure scaffolding meets the needs of the job site.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine scaffold requirements for various projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding systems to ensure structural integrity and safety compliance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively in the construction process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist in other construction tasks as needed, including framing, flooring installation, and remodeling projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in scaffold building or related construction fields is preferred.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding construction plans.
- Familiarity with carpentry techniques, including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and caulking.
- Knowledge of electrical systems is a plus for integrated projects.
- Experience in construction estimating and management is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and procedures on job sites.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks as required.
