Responsibilities
- Operate tubing bender machines to bend various types of tubing according to engineering specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Set up and adjust press brake machines for bending operations.
- Perform welding tasks, including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), as needed for assembly and fabrication.
- Conduct plasma cutting for shaping materials prior to bending.
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in operating press brake machines and tubing benders.
- Experience with welding techniques, particularly FCAW, is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
- Capability to rig materials safely for bending operations.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
