Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full fund accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and investor communications.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Maintain and update investor records, prepare capital call and distribution notices, waterfalls, management fees, and respond to investor inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Assist in coordinating annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Train and supervise junior staff, create best practices, and lead by example.
- Work closely with senior fund managers, accountants, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and a positive team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in fund accounting, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in public accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Investran a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and PE/VC fund structures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Has performed reviews and supervised junior staff.
