Our client is an energy transition company committed to developing, constructing and owning infrastructure assets in the U.S. They are currently developing more than 20 GW of renewable energy generation and storage capacity and 15 GW of data center. They are backed by one of the world’s largest global investment firms.
Our client is seeking an experienced business developer for their utility-scale solar, storage, and digital infrastructure assets. They will also be responsible for execution across project and portfolio M&A.
Ideally the Director of Business Development will work out of the Washington, DC, though a flexible hybrid office vs remote situation could be worked out for the right candidate
The role:
- Source, screen, and evaluate project and portfolio acquisitions across solar, storage, and digital infrastructure
- Make investment recommendations based on strategic fit, fundamentals, revenue opportunities, and internal economic analysis
- Lead all aspects of transaction execution
Qualifications:
• 10 years’ professional experience, ideally in substantially similar roles working directly with utility-scale solar and storage projects
• Bachelor’s degree
• Repeated transaction execution experience across M&A, offtake, and procurement for utility-scale solar and storage projects either as deal lead or in substantial supporting role
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in Washington, D.C. office a minimum of 3 days per week.
