This position provides the opportunity to take on a critical role within a small Private Equity firm, specializing in investing in tech forward businesses. The role will give you access not just limited to fund accounting, but also management accounting, investor relations and business development.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily accounting activities, including maintaining accurate financial records, managing expense reporting, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
- Supporting budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning efforts to optimize operational efficiency and resource allocation.
- Collaborating with internal teams, such as the investment team, to ensure alignment on financial goals and strategies.
- Coordinating with external partners, including fund administrators, auditors, and tax professionals, to facilitate seamless financial operations.
- Assisting the Controller with broader functions such as cost management, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
- Serving as a representative of the firm, focusing on relationships that strengthen the organization's reach.
Experience and Qualifications
- 3-6 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for private equity or venture capital knowledge.
- Open to a mixture of public, private, and fund admin accounting experience. CPA designation is a big plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Concur) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and in a flat structure.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
